Kazakhstan to power crypto mining with flare gas from oil fields

ASTANA. July 8 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) — Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed a decree allowing oil producers to use flare gas for off-grid power generation to fuel cryptocurrency mining, the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development said Wednesday.
