Tokayev names deputy chairman of Kazakhstan's new People's Council

ASTANA. July 8 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) — Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has appointed Kanatbek Zhaisanbayev as deputy chairman of the Halyk Kenesy, or People's Council, a newly established consultative body, his press service said Wednesday.
